The sixteen-year-old Simon Spier is going through the worst period of his life. While he tried his best to hide his sexual orientation, it came out most unpleasantly. Well, it is certainly difficult when a clown-like Martin finds about your true identity and starts blackmailing you for it. This is the premise that sets the tone for the beautiful story of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda.
One of Simon’s classmates discovers an email written to another guy whom he loves. This gives Martin a reason to blackmail Simon and he is left with only two options now. Those two options being succumbing to what Martin wants or finally come out in front of everyone. Well, he chooses to take one of the bravest decisions of his life. Of course, we wouldn’t spoil that for our readers here.
