It also contains Dickens’ most memorable scenes. The plot features development of an orphan boy called Pip. It starts with a boy standing in graveyard accosted by an escaped convict. The whole story then revolves around the life of Pip. Dickens filled Great Expectations with extreme imagery of poverty and wealth, love and rejection as well as triumph of good over evil.  The novel received universal acclamation and remains as one of the best novels of Dickens ever since.
