Orwell describes a farm which the animals took away from a farmer and then named as “Animal Farm”. The novel later follows the plot in that Animal farm.  The book reflects events of Russian Revolution of 1917 and then the Stalianist Era of Soviet Union, according to Orwell. He believed that Soviet Union had turned into a brutal dictatorship and reflected his views in this novel. Because of this theme the novel achieved huge success and admiration throughout the world. So, In one of his essay, “Why I Write”, Orwell wrote that for the first time in life he tried “to fuse political purpose and artistic purpose into one whole”

Eric Arthur Blair, pen name George Orwell was an English novelist, essayist and critic. He is known for his easy prose, outspoken support of democratic socialism as well as awareness of social injustice.

Animal Farm Summary:

Animal Farm is an allegoric and dystopian themed novel that George Orwell wrote during 1943 to 1944.  Orwell have portrayed the events of Soviet Stalinism in allegory of an Animal Farm. George Orwell described this novel as a satirical tale against Stalin. He uses this novel to spread awareness about social injustices. Thus, it is one of the most important novels of English literature and have been entitled with multiple achievements and awards.
